Board Member

Sinclair Ridley-Thomas is a financial services leader with a focus on enabling private companies to evaluate and execute strategic corporate finance initiatives. He discovered an interest in math as a child, when his mother noticed that he had the ability to tally grocery receipts during store runs doing mental math. Sinclair began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in McLean, Virginia where he specialized in advising private equity firms and bank holding companies on their acquisition of failed financial institutions. He later transitioned to Investment Banking in San Francisco, where he began his Wall Street career at JMP Securities (now Citizen’s Bank) as a Convertible Capital Markets banker helping small and medium-sized public companies raise convertible debt. As the private capital ecosystem was continuing to leverage structural creativity to deliver value to growth and late-stage private companies, Sinclair was recruited by RBC Capital Markets to help grow the Private Capital Markets team. Subsequent to RBC Capital Markets, Sinclair founded the Private Capital Markets product at Citi within North American Equity Capital Markets. Most recently, Sinclair served as a Managing Director at UBS Securities focused on Private Capital Markets in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications sectors. Sinclair graduated from Morehouse College with a bachelor’s degree in finance. While in Atlanta at Morehouse, Sinclair was a 4-Year NCAA letterman in Division II Football, Joe & Emma Adams Community Service Scholar, and Co-Lead of the Fulton County Juvenile Court’s Mentoring program. Sinclair and his wife Shaunicie reside in Oakland, California with their three children (Duke, Maya, and Miles).
