Amie Nenninger

Board Member

Amie Nenninger is a developmental and academic tutor, working in education since 1998. Her experience with children and young adults allows her to provide a variety of services, including 1:1 support, curriculum adaptation & modification, life skills practice, and case management. She partners with families and schools to find the right fit for the students. Amie supports students in many Bay Area independent schools, the San Francisco Unified School District, City College, and homeschool settings. She excels at helping students feel safe and successful and enjoy the collaboration and creativity necessary to do this work. Amie appreciates that her profession allows her to have long-term relationships with students and families. Amie works closely with teachers, therapists, medical teams, and specialists to meet children exactly where they are in the moment. Amie appreciates that every day offers the opportunity to learn something new. As a parent volunteer, she focuses on admissions, community building, and volunteer opportunities for families. Amie studied biology and English at the University of Illinois in Urbana and received her master’s degree from the University of Sydney.
